The thin slice approach—focusing on delivering the most valuable piece first—helped my team drive impact and uncover new opportunities over the past few months. Here’s what worked: 1) Taking product design risks early With thin slices, you’re laser-focused on value, making it the perfect time to experiment with bold ideas. The risks are calculated, and the rewards can be significant especially when you've immersed yourself in the problem area. 2) Engage stakeholders and users regularly User-centric workshops and frequent feedback loops helped us uncover unexpected opportunities for improvement. This led to a solution that went beyond initial expectations. 3) Deliver high fidelity (even in the thin slice) Thin slices don’t mean cutting corners. We delivered a high-quality product that set a strong foundation for the future and a practical example for what's possible. Bonus) Experimentation with AI We experimented with Databricks GenieAI. Never before was I able to 'ask' real data questions and get compelling answers. I'm excited to explore this more. There's tons of opportunity for better product decision-making by being able to more quickly get deep data insights. These lessons reminded me that starting small doesn’t mean thinking small—it’s about delivering value, learning fast, and staying flexible for what’s next. #productmanagemet #product #release
